Varsity Camp Rescheduled: Both Camps Now June 15 & 16
Due to weather and field conditions, the Varsity Football Camp has been moved. Both camps now run on the same two days, which means your athlete can do both — and already-registered families can add the second camp for the bundle difference.

The Independence Eagles coaching staff and varsity players are hosting youth football camps for rising K–7th graders. Whether your athlete wants to hit the field for tackle football or learn the fastest-growing sport in America with girls flag — this is the place to start.

Varsity Youth Football Camp
June 15 & June 16

Two days of skill development led by Independence Eagles coaches and current varsity players. Campers rotate through age and skill-specific stations covering throwing mechanics, route running, blocking, tackling fundamentals, footwork, and team drills.

Girls Flag Youth Football Camp
June 15 & June 16
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
$80
Girls Flag Football is now a TSSAA-sanctioned sport — and Independence is building its program from the ground up. This camp introduces flag fundamentals: pulling flags, passing, receiving, defensive positioning, and game play.

No pads or helmets needed. All football equipment will be provided.

Don't let the names fool you. Both camps are open to boys and girls currently in grades K–7th.
Not at all. Both camps are designed for all skill levels, from first-timers to experienced athletes. Coaches will group campers by age and ability.
It means your child will learn from the same coaches and players who lead the Independence Eagles varsity program. Instruction is age-appropriate and focused on fundamentals — not varsity-level contact.
Campers will learn proper tackling form and technique in a controlled setting. Full-speed live tackling is not part of camp. Safety is always the top priority.
Camp will proceed in light rain. In the event of severe weather or lightning, families will be notified by email of any schedule changes.
Yes! Register for the Camp Bundle at $160 and save $20. It's a great way to get exposure to both tackle and flag football.
Refunds are available up to 14 days before camp. After that, registration fees are non-refundable but may be transferred to another camper. Contact info@ihstdc.com with any questions.
